Perhaps it's from his military background, but I always admired Ivan's calm soft spoken demeanor. Ivan was required to do carotid ultrasounds at his final job at the heart center in Colorado Springs, so I flew there to help get Ivan "up to speed". (Ivan had some exposure to theses exams but little experience). On the first day, in addition to many echo exams we did five carotid artery exams together. At the end of the day, Ivan looked up at me in typical Ivan fashion and calmly said, "thanks Dave, I would have been stressed". I think he did about 4-5 a day after that. Thanks, Dave Felix
